1.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇一

Every Loong Boat Festival, I would pester my mother to eat Zongzi. Whenever this happens, my family will call me Zhaoqing Sister.

Why do you say that? Because my hometown is in Zhaoqing, and the specialty of Zhaoqing is Zongzi. Our Zongzi in Zhaoqing is big and weighty. Just like Zhaoqing people, they can order two bowls of rice for one Zongzi, and I will eat them every time.

Every time I go back to my hometown, my relatives will make a lot of Zongzi for me to eat in Shenzhen. When I was a child living at a relative's house, I would stare at the Zongzi on the windowsill and become the "patron saint" of Zongzi. Whenever I go out to visit relatives and friends, I always ask my mother "Do you want to take Zongzi?" This is why adults will smile and say, "Take it!" I will purr my mouth and say unhappily, "Don't take it all! Leave some for me." Everyone laughed.

When I go back to Shenzhen, I will look for Zongzi everywhere, and adults think I forgot something. At this time, I would solemnly ask my mother: "Did you take Zongzi? Everyone laughed again. Until now, whenever we want to go back to Shenzhen, I will keep an eye on my Zongzi behind adults.

Why do I like eating Zongzi? The reason is that it tastes good. This has also been recognized by my cousin. Every time I go to my grandmother's house, she asks us what we eat? We will say with one voice: "Eat Zongzi." Usually we eat steamed Zongzi, but grandma invented an egg fried Zongzi.

This monster sounds really delicious. My sister and I will drool after Zongzi is cooked. Following the fragrance, we drifted into the kitchen and tried our best to suck it all into our stomachs. As soon as Zongzi was served, we couldn't wait to feed Zongzi into our mouths. Zongzi was just hot, fragrant outside and tender inside. We have Zongzi in our mouth, which is called "Yummy! Yummy!"

This is my "marriage" with Zongzi. I like Zongzi because it smells like my hometown, because I am Zhaoqing sister!

2.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇二

My hometown is on the beautiful Xishan Island in Suzhou, also known as Jinting Town. The scenery here is beautiful, with fragrant flowers and fruits throughout the year, and it enjoys the reputation of "Flower and Fruit Mountain". There are many traditional festivals in my hometown. Each festival has different customs and characteristics. Let me take you to the Loong Boat Festival in my hometown.

The fifth day of May in the lunar calendar is the annual Loong Boat Festival. On Loong Boat Festival, everyone's face is filled with the joy of the festival. Digging wild vegetables, making green cakes, making Zongzi. The farmer uncle would go to the mountains early in the morning to collect various wild vegetables from the fields, which are called "Dragon Boat Festival vegetables".

It is said that this dish is particularly nutritious and can also clear heat and detoxify. It can also be used to make some pastries. Every household is busy and bustling with people, making it very lively.

In the past, people would drink a kind of wine called "realgar wine" on Loong Boat Festival, but now people are drinking sweet scented osmanthus wine. Picking up Zongzi, unraveling the tiny rope, a faint fragrance came to the nose, refreshing; Peel off the green leaves and you will see a Zongzi made of sticky glutinous rice.

There are many kinds of Zongzi: red beans, red dates, egg yolks, and even meat stuffing; There are also big, small, long, and square shapes, but no matter which one, they can make you drool with desire

Do you know the origin of eating Zongzi on Loong Boat Festival? It is said that Zongzi is eaten on Loong Boat Festival in memory of the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Qu was ostracized by the powerful and felt that there was no way to serve the country, so he threw himself into the Miluo River and committed suicide. People were afraid that the fish would eat his body, so they threw Zongzi into the river for the fish to eat. From then on, the custom of eating Zongzi on Loong Boat Festival has been passed down.

3.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇三

The Loong Boat Festival is the fifth day of the fifth lunar month every year, also known as the Dragon Boat Festival, the Double Ninth Festival, the Noon Festival and the Summer Festival. It was originally a summer festival to fight off plagues.

The Loong Boat Festival is a traditional festival of the Han people in China. The essential activities on this day gradually evolved into eating Zongzi, racing Loong Boat, hanging calamus, artemisia, wormwood leaf, Dong Cangshu angelica, drinking realgar sprinkling.

It is said that eating Zongzi and racing Loong Boat are to commemorate Qu Yuan, and others are to ward off evil spirits.

From the day I became sensible, I vaguely heard my grandfather say again: "It's the fifth day of May, and we can eat Zongzi again. The family who gave birth to a daughter can send the festival to their parents again." I asked my grandfather curiously: "What's the matter?" My grandfather said: "It's a custom left long ago." I wondered.

What makes me unforgettable is that on that day, my grandfather was busy making Zongzi and cooking Tea egg. I saw it and quickly ran over, saying, "Grandpa, why don't I help you

  Grandpa smiled and said, "Okay

I can't wait to start. In one hand, I take the soaked bamboo leaves and roll them into a tube. In the other hand, I mix the conditioned meat and rice together and mix them evenly. Then I tightly bind them with ropes, like small pyramids. I think they have been completed. Just when I was happy, my grandfather said, "It's the last step. Look at the round three corners of your Zongzi, which is not sharp at all. If you boil it, it will leak out the filling, and it is not delicious."

After listening to my grandfather's words, I understand that nothing should be done carelessly, but carefully.

The annual Loong Boat Festival is coming again, and I'm ready to

4.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇四

Loong Boat Festival is the happiest time for children in a year. Because children can eat delicious Zongzi on this day.

Speaking of Zongzi, I can't help thinking of that Loong Boat Festival.

Grandma called me up early that morning and said she would take me to the food market to buy the ingredients for making Zongzi today.

  I asked: "Zongzi? What Zongzi?"

Grandma said, "Of course, we need to make Zongzi. Today is Loong Boat Festival."

"Oh!" I suddenly realized that yesterday I asked my grandmother to take me to buy Zongzi.

With this in mind, I quickly put on my clothes and followed my grandmother out, because today we are not the only ones who need to buy ingredients. Whether we can grab them or not is uncertain!

Soon we arrived at the market, and I peeked out to take a look. Sure enough, it was packed with people inside.

Firstly, we need to go to the pork shop where we sell pork, as there are too many people waiting in line for a long time before we arrive. But the next scene left me stunned, as my grandmother managed to get 50 yuan worth of pork for just 30 yuan.

Then we went to the rice shop to make Zongzi rice. This is not ordinary rice, it has undergone special treatment Glutinous rice. This type of rice is brown in color and has a wine like aroma, giving it a unique flavor when eaten. And on the way to the rice shop, we just met the leaves wrapped in Zongzi, so the food materials were ready. Start making Zongzi. Grandma first cut the meat she bought into small pieces. I was not idle on the side. I folded the leaves I bought to wrap Zongzi into a triangle, but one side must leave a hole for pork and rice. After a while, we wrapped Zongzi. I ate my own Zongzi and felt unprecedented happiness.

Loong Boat Festival is really a happy festival.

5.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇五

The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the traditional festival of our country - the Dragon Boat Festival. I like the Dragon Boat Festival best!

Every year on the Dragon Boat Festival, Grandma would get up early to make Zongzi, and I would also get up early. I saw green rice dumplings, snow-white glutinous rice, bright red dates... all on the table one by one. "I want to eat meat dumplings!" I cried eagerly. Grandma smiled and said, "Look, my little greedy cat is in such a hurry!" She said that she had skillfully picked up three pieces of rice dumplings and stacked them side by side. Then she held the end of the leaves with one hand and held it in the middle with one hand, twisting it gently. Eh! The three leaves of rice dumplings become an inverted triangle. Then, Grandma filled the inverted triangle with glutinous rice and red dates, covered and wrapped the remaining leaves tightly, and finally tied them with string carefully. A magic Zongzi was wrapped! Grandma wrapped a lot of red date dumplings, not to mention my favorite fresh meat dumplings.

After wrapping the Zongzi, my grandma took me to the countryside to pick calamus and wormwood leaves. It is said that they can ward off evil spirits and drive away malaria by hanging on the door of the house.

In a few hours, Zongzi was cooked. When the lid of the pot was opened, the room was filled with the fragrance of rice dumplings and glutinous rice. I ate several fresh meat dumplings at one time, and my grandmother shouted to stop in fear that I could not digest them. Oh, the Zongzi made by Grandma is really unique in the world. I hope we can have the Dragon Boat Festival every day!

6.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇六

"The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the Dragon Boat Festival. People can eat Zongzi and sprinkle sugar. The Loong Boat Festival is a traditional festival in China, the Loong Boat Festival.".

According to legend, during the Warring States period, Qu Yuan, a minister of Chu, was unable to realize his patriotic ideals and threw a stone into the Miluo River, ending his tragic life. In order to prevent fish and shrimp from corroding Qu Yuan, the people of Chu poured rice and grains into the water, hoping that fish and shrimp would only eat rice and grains. Later, it was said that Qu Yuan had a dream with an old fisherman, and the rice and grain thrown by the people were eaten by the dragon. People use leaves to wrap Rice and vegetable roll and develop Zongzi. Loong Boat Festival still retains the customs of plugging Loong Boat, wrapping Zongzi, eating five yellow and hanging wormwood.

Every Loong Boat Festival, our family will make Zongzi. My mother will wrap my favorite Meigan cai with brown meat. I've seen my mother make Zongzi. Firstly, the mother took out the soaked and relaxed zongzi leaves, which emitted a faint fragrance. Then, stack the two zongzi leaves together and gently fold them in the middle, resembling a bamboo hat. Then, put a little glutinous rice, pull it by hand, put Meigan cai and meat in the middle of the glutinous rice, and cover it with glutinous rice. Fold the leaves in half and wrap them with a large zongzi leaf, then fold a corner on the head. I saw my mother tightly holding the Zongzi in her hand and quickly tying it with ropes round and round. A small and exquisite 'Zongzi' will be wrapped.

When each steaming Zongzi came out of the pot, I couldn't wait to open the leaves and bite them down. My mother shouted, "Be careful of scalding!" and patted my head, saying, "Snacks, don't just enjoy delicious food. What we inherit is not only traditional customs, but also the patriotic spirit of Dr. Qu, who would rather die than surrender

"The dragon head called Meng Wu Er Jing", this poem describes the scene of fierce Loong Boat race, and Loong Boat is just one of the many customs of Loong Boat Festival, so what other customs are there on Loong Boat Festival?

  make Zongzi

Zongzi is the most important food of the Loong Boat Festival. It is said that after Qu Yuan threw himself into the river, the people made Zongzi to feed the fish in the river to commemorate him by preventing his body from being eaten by fish. Now, Zongzi has become our daily food. To make Zongzi, you need to prepare the stuffing first, wrap a piece of stuffing with glutinous rice, wrap it with zongzi leaves, and make it into the shape of a Mitsubishi cone. A Zongzi is ready. Then, put the prepared Zongzi into the pot and boil it. Soon, white gas came out of the pot. When you opened the pot and smelled it, the aroma came to your face. Take out the Zongzi one by one, slowly peel off the leaves, and the yellow glutinous rice was exposed. Take a bite, the glutinous rice is salty, and the taste of the filling is intertwined with the glutinous rice, giving a special feeling. It's very delicious!

  Dragon Boat Racing

In addition to eating Zongzi, the lively scene of Loong Boat race is also unforgettable. On the river, Loong Boat teams marched side by side. Every Loong Boat rower bent down and rowed quickly, perhaps too hard. They looked ferocious, their faces twisted, and rowed forward with full strength. On both sides of the Taiwan Strait, the audience is cheering and encouraging the rowers, with cheers echoing through the sky. There is a big drum on the stern of the Loong Boat. A man desperately beats the drum and makes a sound of "dong dong dong", encouraging the warriors to work hard together! Finally, the red Loong Boat speeded up, surpassed all Loong Boat and won the crown.

Dragon Boat Festival provides both delicious enjoyment and audio-visual entertainment for people. My friend, what about your Dragon Boat Festival?

8.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇八

May 5th is Duanyang. The door is adorned with mugwort, and the fragrance fills the hall. Every time I hear this children's song, I know that Loong Boat Festival is coming.

On Loong Boat Festival, we not only race Loong Boat, but also eat Zongzi. Grandma said that there was a story about the Loong Boat Festival: once upon a time, there was an official named Qu Yuan whose opinions were not accepted, and finally the country was going to perish. Qu Yuan chose to jump into the river and kill himself. In order not to let the fish eat his body, people threw Zongzi into the river every year on the fifth day of May, and had to race Loong Boat. Later, they named the day Loong Boat Festival.

On the morning of Loong Boat Festival, my mother was wrapping Zongzi. I can't wait to surround my mother and pull her sleeve: "Mom, when can I eat hot Zongzi? You see my stomach is growling with hunger!" "I think you are not hungry, are you hungry for Zongzi? Don't worry, it will be wrapped in a moment." My mother answered my words, and I took out three pieces of zongzi leaves and folded them together, turned my hands again to form a small funnel, and then just put the rice in. Ha, it's so simple! But the good times didn't last long. The glutinous rice was too naughty and disobedient, and even ran out. Oh, why did it leak? "I muttered to myself. Mother was silent and concentrated on making Zongzi. I turned around and realized that I hadn't circled it properly, causing the glutinous rice filling to slip away from the hole.

When the Zongzi was wrapped, I began to surround the pot, and time slowly crawled like a turtle. I couldn't help but ask my mom when it would be better! "" It's still early! "Hearing these floating words, my heart" cooled ".

Finally, the Zongzi was cooked, and the aroma came to my face. I tore up the zongzi leaves and took a big mouthful of sweet red dates to brush my teeth. It was really satisfying!

Loong Boat Festival slipped away in a hurry, but the festival atmosphere is still there.

Today is June 8th, the fifth day of the fifth lunar month, which is also called "Loong Boat Festival". Speaking of "Loong Boat Festival", I know it has several other names! Such as "Duanyang Festival", "Daughter's Day", "Poet's Day". Do you know their origins? Let me tell you. In the morning, I had breakfast and my mother and grandmother took me out to play. Along the way, I walked ahead with laughter and jumping, not to mention how happy I was. For some reason, I noticed that there were many people on the street today who had bought tree branches and held them in their hands. I was very surprised to ask my mother, but I found that she and my grandmother were each holding a bundle of tree branches. So I quickly ran over and asked, "Mom, why are you buying tree branches? Ah! They are so fragrant!" My mother smiled and said, "Silly child, this is' Ai Zhi '. Ai Zhi can repel mosquitoes and flies, and also ward off evil! Isn't it good for us to hang Ai Zhi on our own doors and windows?" I nodded.

At noon, our food was rich and sweet. In addition to home dishes, there were beautiful triangular Zongzi, eggs and duck eggs, which smelled delicious. I immediately picked up a larger Zongzi, peeled its leaves, and ate the tender white glutinous rice with relish. It was delicious!

My grandfather told me that eating Zongzi on Loong Boat Festival is to commemorate the patriotic spirit and noble personality of the patriotic poet Qu Yuan. Actually, I already know about this, hehe

Loong Boat Festival is so happy and interesting! You can also learn knowledge and broaden your horizons. How nice to celebrate Loong Boat Festival!

The fifth day of the fifth lunar month is the traditional festival in my hometown - Loong Boat Festival. Every household holds relevant ceremonies on this special day to commemorate it.

The origin of Loong Boat Festival is to commemorate the great poet Qu Yuan in ancient China. According to records, in 278 AD, the Qin army captured the capital city of Chu. Qu Yuan watched helplessly as his homeland was invaded, but he was powerless and powerless. His heart was cut like a knife, and he fell into the Guluo River on the fifth day of May and died. After Qu Yuan's death, the people of Chu went to the banks of the Guluo River to pay their respects to him. Fishermen rowed boats in the river to retrieve Qu Yuan's body. People were afraid that fish, shrimp and crabs in the river would eat Qu Yuan's real body and throw Rice and vegetable roll and other food into the river. Later, on the fifth day of May every year, there were customs such as racing Loong Boat, eating Zongzi and drinking realgar wine to commemorate Qu Yuan.

There is no Loong Boat to compete with in the north, but there are still customs of drinking, eating rice cakes, and eating Zongzi. On the fifth day of May every year, people always make Zongzi, rice cakes and fried Youbing (Deep-fried round and flat dough-cake). Children are happy on this day, because rice cakes and Zongzi are not eaten much in a year. The elderly will definitely not be careless about this festival. Children often talk about when to celebrate the Loong Boat Festival and when to eat Zongzi and rice cakes. The feelings and expectations are so real.

Making Zongzi and rice cakes is usually on the evening of the fourth day of the fifth lunar month. Rice cakes and Zongzi are not easy to cook. They need to be cooked overnight. Children always fall asleep in anticipation. The next morning, the children held rice cakes and Zongzi while eating. They talked about whose Zongzi and rice cakes were delicious and whose mother had good craftsmanship. The scene was really enviable.

I always look forward to the arrival of the Loong Boat Festival, fascinated by the sweet and attractive rice cakes.

There is a traditional saying that Loong Boat Festival is to commemorate Qu Yuan; Some say it is to commemorate Wu Zixu, while others say it is to commemorate the filial daughter of the Eastern Han Dynasty, Cao E, who saved her father from drowning in the river... There are increasingly diverse opinions.

"The fifth of May is the Dragon Boat Festival. It's the Dragon Boat Festival..." Singing this folk rhyme, I walked into the countryside, and I walked into the Loong Boat Festival.

I still remember when I was young, my mother and I came to my grandmother's house and saw her holding a piece of floral cloth in one hand and a spoon like object in the other, picking up some dandelions, wild chrysanthemums, and many flowers and grasses that I couldn't name. Grandma scooped out a spoonful of flowers and put it into a flower cloth, then quickly wrapped the flower cloth into triangles, squares, hexagons... and handed it to Auntie. Auntie used a needle to thread the thread, and after sewing it, she found two ropes. One was red with a ribbon underneath; The other one is colored. Auntie wrapped the colored rope in a circle and fixed it with a needle. She then threaded the red rope through the circle and tied a knot, and a sachet was ready. In no time, one sachet after another was presented to my mother and me. Wow! I want it! I want it! "I reached out to take the sachet and said to my grandmother," Baby wants it, baby wants it! "My grandmother handed me the flower cloth head and a wooden spoon. I put one spoon into the flower cloth head, folded it into a triangle, and then threaded the needle. But when I finished it, it looked like a skinny and dry person, which was incomparable to what my grandmother made.

My mother continued, 'Baby, come on! Make another one!' At that moment, I understood the truth of 'arrogance leads to defeat'. I have grown up and will not be complacent about small things. I believe that through repeated efforts, each sachet will be made better and more perfect!

Today is my favorite festival - Loong Boat Festival. The festival is to commemorate the great ancient poet Qu Yuan. Qu Yuan committed suicide by throwing himself into the river due to the fall of his country and his lack of talent. After Qu Yuan's death, the fish in the river gnawed on his body, so they put glutinous rice in reed leaves and tied it with colorful threads, throwing it into the river for the fish to eat Glutinous rice, so people also eat Zongzi on this day.

In addition to eating Zongzi, southerners also race Loong Boat. We carry colorful ropes made of thread on our hands and collect some wormwood at the door to ward off evil spirits and insects.

On this day, there will be a rally held in the county town! When my parents said they wanted to take me to be grateful, I was overjoyed and overjoyed. As soon as I got into the car, I couldn't wait to ask, "Are we almost there? Are we almost there?" After fifteen minutes, I finally arrived. Walking to the edge of the venue, I heard the music of the amusement park, saw the high floating island ship, and remembered the scene I had played last year. My heart couldn't help but tremble. The pirate ship swayed high and low. At first, it didn't sway very high, but later on, as it soared higher and higher, it felt like it had flown into the clouds. In the distance, I could also hear the screams of the experiencers. Later, I went into the haunted house to experience it again, and the terrifying feeling made me scream repeatedly

There were also various snacks at the meeting, such as Stinky tofu. People say, "Changsha stinky tofu is nothing if you don't eat it in Changsha." So today, I also want to taste how delicious Changsha stinky tofu is. When I walked to the stall, a smell came to my nostrils. I ordered a Stinky tofu, ate it, and after eating it, I felt that the lips and teeth were fragrant, and the aftertaste was endless. It was really: "Smell bad, taste good“

Today, I had a happy Loong Boat Festival.

13.家乡的端午节英语作文 篇十三

Loong Boat Festival is an annual festival in China, and Loong Boat Festival is a happy festival for our children, because we can have three days off and play heartily. The exam is coming up soon, it's perfect to relax and unwind.

This Loong Boat Festival, I decided to go to my cousin's grandma's house with my aunt and cousin. Auntie agreed to meet together at 5:30 am the next morning at the Saint Port parking lot.

At around 5:15 in the morning, I opened my eyes and got out of bed to brush my teeth and wash my face. I saw my dad lying on the sofa, waiting for me to tidy up and leave! I quickly finished brushing my teeth and washing my face. Put on your clothes and ask dad to take me to the Saint Port parking lot. My aunt was already waiting for me in the parking lot.

My aunt drove us to my cousin's grandmother's house in a small car. Along the way, we looked around at the scenery, saw flowers and plants everywhere, and took a breath of fresh air.

After almost two hours, we finally arrived at our cousin's grandmother's house. We looked around, everything was new and exciting, and we were extremely happy. Chatting together, Auntie said, "Let's go pick edamame and vegetables." "Okay." We all spoke in unison, each carrying a basket. When we arrived at the vegetable garden, we found it too much. I didn't go there. Waiting for them on the lawn, we saw a white stray dog on the lawn. We walked over and carefully stroked it. We gradually became less afraid, and it seemed like it was hungry. My cousin bent down and picked three edamame for it to eat, and she ate them all in one go. We asked my aunt if she could take care of it. Auntie said, 'You can keep it in the countryside.' 'Yeah, that's great!' We exclaimed happily. We saw an old lady washing clothes by the pond next to us. She said, 'There are fish here.' We begged her to help us catch some

After finishing lunch, we took a car back.

Today is the annual Loong Boat Festival. Early in the morning, our family went to Grandma's house to spend the Dragon Boat Festival. On the way, my mother introduced to me the customs of Loong Boat Festival: drinking realgar wine, hanging wormwood...... In memory of the great patriotic poet Qu Yuan, we had to wrap Zongzi and race Loong Boat.

Grandma was an expert at wrapping Zongzi. She folded the long Ruo leaves to make a nest, put the prepared stuffing in the middle, and wrapped the edges and corners. Finally, she made the Zongzi wrapped in Ruo leaves into a four corner shape, which was considered to be completed. Grandma was quick in action. She said and made Zongzi. The dumplings were all "beautiful". I envied them. I also wanted to have a try. I was clumsy and didn't wrap them well. Finally, they were completed under Grandma's guidance. I couldn't help but give a thumbs up and praise: "Grandma, you are so amazing!" Put the wrapped Zongzi into a big pot to cook, and soon the fragrance from the pot made me salivate. When I saw the steaming Zongzi finally "liberated" from the pot, I couldn't wait to peel it off with chopsticks and bite it. It was really delicious!

Loong Boat Festival is a rare occasion for not racing Loong Boat. After noon, our family went to Jinshui Lake in Zhuqi to watch the Loong Boat race. The lakeside has already been crowded with colorful flags, and there are many colorful Loong Boat on the lake. The competition officially began amidst people's expectations, and all the players were full of energy. The drummer sits on the dragon head and beats rhythmically, paddles and paddles are kept in order, struggling hard, and Loong Boat seem to be moving forward like arrows. The passion on the field also ignited the people outside, "Come on, come on!" We stretched our necks, let out our voices, and the sailors rowed even harder. Behind the Loong Boat, there were ripples, and the originally calm water danced a happy ballet

On this day, we can not only eat delicious and sweet Zongzi, but also watch the wonderful Loong Boat race. What a happy day!

In a twinkling of an eye, it's Loong Boat Festival. My mother and I were walking on the road, filled with the fragrance of zongzi and mugwort everywhere, so the air became fresh. People selling Zongzi, mugwort, sachets... can be seen everywhere. The mugwort is as green as jade and emits a fragrance. Passersby usually need to buy a few, put them on the door, on the cabinet, or in the mosquito net, which can drive away evil and purify the air. Some people sell gardenia flowers. I begged my mother to buy some mugwort, and she agreed.

When I got home in the evening, my father had prepared a sumptuous dinner to celebrate Loong Boat Festival. After dinner, my father brought Bean paste cake and Zongzi, and stuck wormwood on the door and put it on the cabinet. The room suddenly became very fragrant, like a fairyland. The whole family smelled wormwood and ate delicious Zongzi and cakes, which were very warm and sweet.

Loong Boat Festival reminds me of a great patriotic soldier, Qu Yuan, who jumped into the river to kill because of the destruction of his country. In memory of Qu Yuan, people designated the day when Qu Yuan was killed as Loong Boat Festival. People hold Loong Boat races, eat Zongzi, and insert mugwort on that day.

When I was young, my grandpa's family would watch programs about Loong Boat Festival in front of the TV, and our neighbors often invited us to their home to eat Zongzi, just like a family. At that time, I liked eating Zongzi very much, but my appetite changed because of the advance of time. I gradually didn't like eating Zongzi, but I still liked eating meat Zongzi. Zongzi's family doesn't want to eat it either. They only eat it on Loong Boat Festival. Like me, they also have their own taste.

Sit in front of the TV to watch the fierce Loong Boat race and cheer for your favorite team. I think: How ancient Chinese culture is! What wonderful traditional festivals are in China!

Fragrant Loong Boat Festival! I love Loong Boat Festival!
